Important announcement – Charity and Coffee shops

Yesterday, Wednesday 27th January 2016, we had an incident at our shops in Hamilton.

Part of the side wall to the building collapsed, taking out a gas pipe on the way down.  Thankfully, nobody was injured.

Until further notice, our charity shop will be closed for more structural inspections to the masonary and the full side wall.  Potentially, it may have to be rebuilt, which we are told, may take several weeks.

Please understand that we CANNOT accept any donations at this time until we are given the ‘all clear’ that the shop is safe to enter.

On the positive side, it has been indicated that we might be able to open the coffee shop ONLY on Monday depending on building investigation, however, we will not be accepting any donations at the coffee shop.

Many thanks and we will update you as we get more information.

A special thanks to Diane at The Woodside Bar for her hospitality after the evacuation of our building.  Spook has a nice drink of water!

Our new Coffee Shop opens TOMORROW!

Hi All.

Exciting announcement……..

Carrying on from the success of our first charity in Hamilton, we are opening our first coffee shop right next door, 21B Gateside Street, ML3 7HT.

Monday to Saturdays from 7am until 2pm.

These are different opening times to the charity shop as we aim to help those on their way to work with great coffee and breakfast rolls.

All coffees (bean to cup or espresso pods): £1

All teas including some fantastic herbals: £1

Breakfast Rolls: £1

As well as fully loaded, we also do some healthy alternatives such as vegan friendly cake and proper veggie burgers like Spinach & Broccoli or Mushroom, Onion & Cashew nuts.

The coffee shop was transformed under our own steam, proper DIY with our fantastic volunteers (who really did it all…….) and our totally blind Founder, Anne, who has done an amazing paint job on the place.

Did I mention that our Founder, Anne, will be cooking and serving?

Drop in for a cuppa and a proper cream tea…… proper tea made with leaves, quality jam, proper Devon clotted cream and huge homemade scones (by Anne) for just £2.50  WOW!

Out with the normal openings times, the coffee shop is available to hire for meetings, groups or as an intimate venue for talks, for example.  Contact us via our website or by telephone 01698 374973 or drop in.

All profits from the coffee shop will go into our fund to train and care for our dogs and clients.

Looking forward to seeing you.  You won’t be disappointed!
